Candy Floss is made by hearing sugar and spinning the liquifies sugar out through tiny holes where it re-solidifies in minutely thin strands that resemble spider’s web. Candy floss was first recorded in Europe in the 19th century. At the time spun sugar was an expensive, labour-intensive endeavour and was not generally available to the average person. Machine spun candy floss was first invented in 1987. You would not have guessed who created cotton candy, it was a dentist known as William Morrison and confectioner John C. Wharton. Typical machines used to make cotton candy include a spinning head enclosing a small, sugar reserve or bowl. The sugar reserve is where the mixture (sugar, flavour, colouring) for the candy floss is poured. Heaters in the head melee the sugar, which is squeezed out through tiny holes by centrifugal force. Due to her disability, it took over half a year to be discharged from the hospital. Covering the extra costs of travel, hospital parking ect was starting to take an extra burden on us. To this effect, someone suggested to I get a candy floss machine and attend the local market. With this idea and withdrawing some money out of our honeymoon fund (fall happened a few weeks after our marriage) a candy floss machine was brought. Then it was off to Eastleigh market and from there TCFK was born and we have grown into what we are today. Offering a huge range of flavors and giving unparalleled service.
